Our lunar eclipse expedition will give each attendee a hands on experience on how to photograph this rare full blood moon. We have also incorporated a full adventure elopement to learn the in's and out's of elopements. Every shoot and lecture is created with the intention on leveling up your business.

Yonder was created out of a desire to go back in time. It is located near Bryce Canyon National Park and within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, on the grounds of an old Drive-In movie theater. Yonder borders some of America’s most beautiful places and provides its guests the luxury of experiencing the American West in a way that will always be remembered.
Cabins and Airstreams are fully equipped with everything you'll need and private spa-like bathhouses await. The property also has a pool + hot tub, vintage drive in theater, general store, fire pits for s'mores and campfire stories + so much more!

Hi, I’m Kayla and I'm the host of LLI! I’ve been a photographer serving couples and brands across the globe for the past 8 years - I truly can’t imagine doing anything else.
A few years ago, I noticed a gap in the photography workshop space. What I was looking for was a workshop that offered a luxury experience in an epic location, creative shoots that would actually elevate my portfolio and attract my ideal client + a community of like minded creatives.
This is when Let Light In Workshop was born.
I’ve put my heart + soul into creating a series of workshops that are intentionally made to grow your craft and your community. Using my background in photography and degree in Special Events Management, I've curated every detail of the LLI workshop to be unlike any other. Can't wait for you to join us!

Kierstin Jones
I'm Kierstin Jones and I am obsessed with taking pictures! I've been a wedding photographer for 11 years now and to say I'm blessed is an understatement.
Photography has become a forever part of me. Each and every person has a different way they show their love for the other person and I truly enjoy being able to capture that. Not just capturing moments in time, but also capturing the feelings that are tied to those moments.
Capturing all kinds of love around the world has been an honor and absolute dream come true. I've learned SO MUCH over the years and I'm excited to share a few of my favorite things with you.
I am a wedding, elopement and editorial photographer who specializes in documentation of storytelling. I have been full time for 5 years now and it’s never a dull moment.
The core to my business is that everyone deserves to have their story documented. Each person has a beautiful unique way of living and as a photographer I strive to capture everyone’s most authentic self. My favorite word is collaboration. It’s all about working together to create something beautiful.
I take pride in creating a unique experience for each client. Each day never passes the same as such each person has a unique perspective on life. Being able to hone in on each person’s individuality while capturing it on film is what I crave and I can’t wait to share that with you all!
I’m based in Utah, but I’ve been lucky enough to travel all around the world documenting love stories. I picked up a camera for the first time 4 years ago and haven’t looked back since.
I'm inspired by imperfection and images that capture a feeling. I embrace artistic blur, grain, light leaks, and the in-between "off-script" moments. Lately I've been especially inspired by old film and vintage cameras—I crave things that are unpredictable and invoke a little bit of nostalgia. I fell in love with writing and storytelling before I ever picked up a camera, and I'm equally in love with both.
I believe if you have a dream and work harder than you ever have in your life and don’t give up, the universe has a way of making it happen. It’s my goal to empower other creatives to find their unique voice as artists and storytellers, break out of their comfort zones, and find beauty anywhere from their backyard to the night sky to a remote waterfall in Iceland.
On our first night together, we will be embarking on a night time expedition to photograph the total lunar eclipse. This rare event is a sight to behold, leaving you with *literally* out of this world images.
Cara Mia will be leading our Eclipse Expedition where we will learn hands-on how to photograph the beauty of the total lunar eclipse. On average, it only happens every 2.5 years - get ready to capture this extremely rare Blood Moon light up the night sky!

what can i expect from the styled shoots?
We leave no detail out when it comes to these styled shoots. You can expect these shoots to be focused on diversity, out of the box concepts and high end vendors to truly elevate your portfolio. There will be 5 unique shoots with a range of styles to push you creatively - wedding, editorial, full adventure elopement, high fashion bridal look book and a lunar eclipse expedition.
what's included in the investment cost?
Included in your investment is a 4 day, 3 night stay at Yonder Escalante, all meals and drinks, educational lectures from the speakers, next level stylized shoots to elevate your portfolio, a lunar eclipse expedition, yoga class, drive in movie night in vintage cars + plenty of s'mores!
what should i bring?
Aside from the norm, make sure to bring comfortable shoes to walk in, laptop + charger, camera + gear, credit card/cash, and a swimsuit. A tripod and long lens (300-400mm is best) is needed for the Lunar Eclipse Expedition as well. These are easy to rent locally!
The average temperature in May is 75 high and 40 low - so please make sure to dress accordingly!
will there be food?
Of course! All meals and beverages will be provided during our time together. Additional options and snacks will be available for purchase on site. We will kick off our first night with an extravagant multi-course welcome dinner prepared by a private chef.
What can I expect from the lectures?
In-depth lectures will be given from each teacher on various business and photography topics, while diving deep into the heart of your art. We will incorporate unique creative challenges during our styled shoots to explore new perspectives, expand your horizons and find your why. You will have exclusive access to our teachers for business advice and feedback - we are an open book and are here to help you and your business flourish!
what is the bed situation like?
Think summer camp style! You will have a shared bed in a cabin or airstream with one other attendee. There is an additional pull out bed in each cabin if you would prefer to sleep separately.
what airport should i fly into?
The closest international airports to Yonder Escalante are Salt Lake City (SLC) and Las Vegas (LAS). The closest regional airport is Cedar City Airport (CDC).
You will need to drive from the airport - a facebook group will be made prior to the workshop to sort out carpool options with other attendees!
can this be a tax write off?
Absolutely! That's the best part of it all. Any time you invest in your business to make it better, it can be written off as an expense for your business!
